So you must be using the workbench scsi.device, I wasn't sure if you could
do that, I thought it needed to use it's own scsi.device like IDEfix.
I have managed to get it up and running with your help, I think I'll try
PFS3ds this time I didn't use the direct scsi version last time I tried
it, maybe that's where I went wrong.

It was that no split mode that fooled me every time I started with the
left mouse button pressed it was still set on split, and I was worried
that it might have wiped out another 4gb of software.
You can install it all again but it's the configuring again. It can be
weeks before you get everything running like it was before.
I still haven't mastered backing up to CD's - maybe you could have a
tutorial in the mag Neil, you must have a lot of tips you can pass on.
